A new opportunity has just arrived at MHS: the Kyle Cares—Milford Cares club. This club is designed around mental health and hopes to bring a positive, judgment-free environment to our school and break the stigma against mental health. Kyle Cares is a non-profit organization that strives to provide teens and adults with the support and resources that they may need to fight their battle against mental health.
Kyle Johnson tragically died by suicide in 2018. Like many other teens, Kyle suffered from mental illness and lost his battle far too soon. He grew up only 21 miles away from Milford in North Attleboro. Kyle’s family wants to bring awareness to teens struggling with mental health. They started this foundation to honor their beloved son and brother. They hope to tell Kyle’s story, and Kyle cares-Milford cares hopes to do just that.
Milford High is one of the last schools in the Hockomock League to join Kyle Cares, and we hope that all students can fully benefit from everything this club has to offer.
Founding members hope to spread the word about Kyle Cares by hosting events open to the entire Milford community. This club will not only benefit Milford High students, but will also benefit students and community members all over Milford.
