Ruby Franke is a mother and Youtube vlogger who films her daily life with her kids. She has always been called out for her controversial parenting techniques and people have continuously tried to contact their town’s police to bring attention to it but nothing came from it.
Ruby is well known for having taken her son, Chad’s, bed away from him for seven months in 2020, resulting in him having to sleep in a bean bag because he played a prank on his siblings. She threatened to take away ‘food privileges’ from her children if they didn’t stop fighting. After her daughter (age 5 at the time), forgot to pack her own lunch. Her school called Ruby to tell her she had no lunch so she could bring one for her. Ruby responded by saying she wasn’t going to bring her lunch because it’s her responsibility to learn to pack her own lunch.
Ruby Franke and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, a therapist who got her license revoked for blackmailing a patient and violating HIPAA, promoted themselves as parenting coaches. This didn’t last long after one of Ruby’s sons escaped through one of Hidebrandt’s windows and went to a neighbor’s house, when they noticed duct tape on the child’s wrists and ankles they called the police. The 12-year-old was brought to the hospital, malnourished. After police searched Hildebrandt’s house they also found Franke’s 10-year-old daughter also malnourished. All their children that were underage were placed into Utah’s Department of Children and Family Services while a court date was being set, while their oldest daughter, Shari Franke, 20-years-old, began to cut ties with her parents.
